Network Your Computers & Devices Step by Step

I agreed to review this text mostly because I was curious how easily they could break down something this complex.  They only give information useful to the average user.  I believe a novice could put together a fairly advanced network easily, using this manual.  I learned a few things that have helped me in diagnosing networking issues at work. A definite recommend, in my opinion. I have added this guide to my geek stash and have already suggested it to an interested home user.
